Wang Lang

Now after all the eating, take a tuk tuk ride (around 60 THB) a bit further down Arun Amarin Road to just before Siriraj Hospital junction. The small Wang Lang alley way on the right hand side is packed with local shops from Thai style sushi bar, fashion clothes, children clothes, and of course lots and lots of local snacks.  Wang Lang market was originally the favourite among Siriraj Hospital’s medical personnel’s and soon became well known for shoppers of all ages for inexpensive but fun shopping.

On the way back towards Wang Doem Street, off Arun Amarin road, around late afternoon you will start seeing a short but soon to be long queue in front of this small shop selling only Kanom Buang or Thai Crispy Pancake (ขนมเบื้องไทย วัดอรุณ) traditional thai snack made of rice flour a bit like Taco with different fillings that must be eaten right away off the grill.   You can choose between savoury or sweet ones, traditional or modern ones or just try them all and then decide which you like best like we do. We must say, we love them all.
